Myla is an early childhood educator and school administrator. She is currently sharing her expertise in early childhood education, teacher-mentoring, and school leadership as co-director, parent educator, and 4’s preschool teacher at Santa Clara Parents Nursery School (SCPNS). After leaving the field of sales and marketing, she switched to being a preschool teacher and moved her way up as assistant director and director. Myla then stayed at home for a total of six years to raise her two children. When her kids got older and were ready to go to school, Myla decided to return to the field of education and earned her Masters in Child Development from San Jose State University.

Myla strongly believes in a developmentally appropriate learning environment that focuses BOTH on academics and socio-emotional skills. She has years of experience as a teacher, preschool assistant director, and K-8th administrator at schools in San Jose, Palo Alto, and Santa Clara.

She is excited to work in an elementary classroom and learn a lot more as an educator at St. Clare School. Myla lives in San Jose with her husband and two children. She is looking forward to her son going to college and her daughter moving on to high school.
