Prior to becoming the Middle School Science Teacher at St. Clare School, Ms. McCormick completed her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Anthropology with a minor in Biology in the Honors Program at the University of San Diego.  She worked in Raymond, ME for several years for the Raymond Waterways Protective Association, rising from Boat Inspector, to Boat Captain, and ultimately to the Acting Executive Director of the Association. Ms. McCormick then returned to San Diego to work for an animal rescue organization and a private zoo, where she also participated in a variety of education outreach programs.  Her love for animals and educating others eventually led her to two years as a Veterinary Technician. In 2015, she began her St. Clare career as well as her Master of Arts in Teaching and single subject teaching credential in science through Santa Clara University and graduated in June, 2018. Ms. McCormick is passionate about exploring the world around her with her dog Scout and loves nothing more than igniting a curiosity and love for learning in her students.
