Before joining the St. Clare community, Mrs. Lewis was a science instructor for Mad Science of the Bay Area where she could work part-time and be there for her children after their father’s death from Leukemia.  She grew up in the Bay Area and attended San Jose State University where she completed an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences with minors in European History and Physical Sciences. From 2000 to 2010, Mrs. Lewis was a Recreation Coordinator for the City of Cupertino. During her time there, Mrs. Lewis oversaw summer camp programs, recreational classes for children, and the After School enrichment program.  Through her work in Cupertino and Mad Science, she found a passion for working with elementary school students where she can share her passions of science, history, and reading. When Mrs. Lewis is not at school, she enjoys going on adventures with her kids, going out with her friends, playing with her dog, Freya, and reading a good book.
